I thought that I would share something different.

I work as a Social Worker for a Hospice agency and was asked to come up with a way to photograph patients on our service. I came up with a photo project that involves taking a photo of the patients hands with something personal to them and then placing that photo in a folio type card with a poem on the other side known as "The Blessing of Your Hands" The families have really appreciated the project so far and I thought that I would share with the community here.

Hands blessing

These are just beautifully done and the thought behind them is beyond touching. I am sure that the families will treasure the fine memory that you have provided. When I was spending a lot of time with a friend going through hospice, an administrator said that they sometimes did hand photos of both the patient and their family together. There is a place for both types of photos but I love your idea and your interpretation so much more. Thanks for sharing...

Thanks for the kind words. I am actually going to do a photo of a mother and daughters hands together tomorrow.
