Ok, so I'm playing around with the WiFi features, got everything connected up nice, take the camera outside to the backyard, point it down the river, and come back inside to mess around. I have all camera shot adjustments set to zero, basically - no WB shift or bracketing, Picture style of Faithful, (0,0,0,0), Auto White Balance, small JPG. When I take a shot, the resulting JPG is noticeably less contrasty, there is much less blue in the sky, and simply looks more 'washed out' than the live view window. Is this just a function of the camera's raw to JPG processing? I've attached a screen shot showing both examples, which I hope comes across reasonably accurately. I guess what I'm asking is, what needs to be done to make the finished product look more like what I see in the Live View window, which is, to my eye, closer to reality. Thanks much in advance for any tips...

PS Yes, I know it's crooked - that's not my concern at the moment. Now, if we could get the EOS utility to move my ballhead from in here... :)

Image on the left looks over-exposed. Try dropping the exposure by 2/3 of a stop and see what you get.

Yes, the actual photo looks over exposed while the Liveview presentation looks good. I am guessing it is a function of having Liveview Exposure Simulation disabled. Try enabling Exposure simulation and see if that works better for you. (see page 189 of the 6D manual)

Mike, that was exactly it. I must have been dicking around with the menu in the dark or something, because it had been set to ""During" , AND not realizing the exposure was set to +2/3rds as well. I normally keep it right at 0, and I know I had re-set it to zero soon after the one shot but I was distracted helping my 7 year old granddaughter with her school homework.. now I know all about the Titanic, as well... :) Thanks much.

By the way, the limit for wireless remote operations seems to be about 140-150 feet. :)
