I'm asked for my password often, but I also use it on multiple computers so that may come into play. But then, if it's not running a check how would it know that?

It must be something with your laptop. For consistency, I disabled my networking as well.

I was looking at the Adobe product info page and a chat window popped up. The Adobe rep said the Cloud apps need to connect to the Adobe server once every 30 days to verify your account is active (paid for the month) but they do not require an active Wi-Fi connection for daily use. The entire app is installed onto your drive.
