Hi everyone,

I took a shot of my car last night that I like and I was also able to improve it a bit by shaprening, cropping, leveling and decreasing the color temperature but I definitley think there is more that could be done.

Here is the original file:

Here is what I did with it already:

I would love to improve this photo a bit more, I would love for the rear fender to be the same color as the door and if it is possible I would also like to get rid of some of the wide angle distorsion but that's not as important. I also don't mind if you guys have any ideas of your own, I'm still new to pgotography and I have a long way to go before I will be able to call myself a protographer. If you feel like you don't mind spending a little time on this then please post your resoults here of or email the file / files to brylek@gmail.com (external link), feel free to copy right your work.

Thank you in advance!

BTW - those files are on my flickr page, www.flickr.com/brylek (external link)

did you shoot in RAW? If so, could you email me a copy to aemravan@gmail.com (external link) ?

jpegs are usually too compressed to do any kind of serious pixel surgery on :)

Aemravan, I took this shot in jpeg format so this is all I have. Thanks for the nice words about the car, I am very fortunate to have it :).

Sound word of advice, you are shooting with a markii, shoot in raw, even if its SRaw2 ( the smallest raw format) it will do WONDERS for you if you ever need to do extensive editing. I am working on a quick version for you right now

here is what i came up with:

1st edit is just with photoshop, color corrected on the paint, background etc, looks more like your image.

the second image is just tonemapped with no PS, no crop either:

and the third edit is a combination of both processes with a crop:

let me know what you think

also, another piece of advise, learn how to set a custom white-balance, the image would have come out 100x easier to work with if it was a little better balanced white balance wise :)

Looks great! Is there a chance that you could do another one identical to your 1st but with silver wheels?

Thank you!:D

The S2000 is a great car, I had one and I loved it! Even if it doesn't have as much of the "wow" factor that the NSX does it is still a blast to drive. A lot, I mean a lot NSX owners are ex S2000 owners :).

In you ever decide to start shopping for an NSX make sure you visit NSX Prime, lots of good information there!

I see NSX's sold cheap all the time... i dont see why you couldn't own one if you have a newer year (which is not what I consider cheap) S2K :)
