This happened somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Speed and Height were relevant, in my observation. Success ratio is less than 10%. (Not scientific of course.)

OH MY GOD! wow,.. that is amazing.
I've tried to get a really good series of images of Boobies or Gannets doing there dives,. (and never been able to get close enough for anything but "archival" shots,.

But this I've never even imagined. Fantastic opportunity and well down recording it!

I fish offshore regularly in the summer months here off NJ. I have seen flying fish (as we call them) many times. They are so fast and stay above water for such a short time I would be impressed if I were able to get a good series of them (alone). Instead, you nailed the flying fish AND the predator in the same shoot, WOW! Great job and congrats!

Not only did you get the Brown Booby flying but also a flying fish.
Kudos.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.
