Spring sunshine attacking the creek ice

The nearby creek ice is giving way to the warm temperatures.

This is my first attempt at merging two exposures via Photoshop; a longer exposure for the water and shorter exposure for the bright snow & ice. Shot without benefit of a ND or polarizing filter.

The "Linear" function in DPP was valuable in adjusting the overexposed shots. Each of those images is a composite of two shots. Overall, I was content with the result.
