Nice focus and lighting, just don't like how part of his ear and leg are missing. Maybe if your cropped this a bit more to be just a head shot?

Light is low so you had not much choice of narrower F but then the shallow DOF is the main issue here.
You can argue about composition too. Would be good to see ear or more of face.
Definitely flash or added light can improve this image if retaken.
Too much empty space on top also lower aspect. Consider a crop from both top and bottom.

Bottom line a sweet creature like sugar. No mater how you look at it, its sweet. Good job.

You nailed the exposure and focus. Color looks good and the 'expression' is great. Nicely done. Cropping may improve it some.
