I'm using a Plustek OpticFilm 8100 to scan 35mm negatives, but I'm experiencing an issue in which SilverFast outputs incomplete images. The scanner becomes audibly silent mid-scan and generates random colors patterns. I think it's a hardware issue. The problem doesn't occur very often; all I've been doing is rescanning and the next scan comes out normal. Anyone have any ideas what might be going on?
