When I was on a plane headed for Seattle I took this picture with my EF 24-105 @ 105mm and I didn't have time to swap lenses, but do you prefer the cropped version or the way it came out of camera? thanks

I much prefer the cropped. The clouds you cropped out don't add anything and they distract from the incredible colours and textures of the mountains.

I would crop out more of the foreground, which is featureless and dull. The sky is dramatic. So I would keep more of it.

Cropped, and if you want to get back to a typical size adding black bars on top and bottom typical of a tv look might work well. Maybe a horizon straightening too.

Definitely cropped. Maybe even a little more to make it look more panoramic.

Cropped, but needs some more cropping and slight rotation.

I personally like more the Panno. The cropped one is too boxy for this particular landscape. You have all those beautiful lines running horizontally, why cut them?
Anyway, good shot.

I agree. The rays are gorgeous though.A 9x16 crop would be sweet.

I prefer the non-cropped version. The reason being, it shows more depth to the entire landscape. Also, the darker bottom and top of the photo contrasts the middle lighter area rather nicely, and makes the sunnier areas "pop".
