He have also captured the aurora live on video from 3:08 - 3:38
Using the Canon 1DX for the job + lots of post processing.

It was very nice Helge however there was a lot of pixelated distortion through out the movie . First half I did wide screen on my 23" monitor and noticed it then I went back to normal size and still could see it . I wonder if it had something to do with Vimeo when it was uploaded ?

Very strange, I didn't see anything and I even watched it on my imac 27" I also checked it on my mbp 15.4 retina and didn't notice anything. Could it be something with your internet connection? I have noticed if the connection is lagging it can do that.
I can assure you that Ole would have removed it right away if there had been any problems at all.
He is such an perfectionist that he would not allow anything to go wrong.

Really beautiful stuff, almost magic!

I saw it full-screen, and I didn't see any problems at all in the entire movie, it was smooth and looked good to me.

Yes I like it also. It is something that we rarely sees here. Fog
This night it was so thick that you couldn't see the car in front of you.
So he got some great shots being on the mountain this evening

Helge i just watched it again form work and we run T1 services and there was no problems , run very smooth . I'll check it again tonight at home and see . It should have run smooth cause i just upgraded my Service and i'm getting 30mps download and 4mps upload so i really shouldn't have had that problem . However there may have been something going on with my ISP and i'll find out tonight if i can .

Excellent work! Very motivational. I've had some time-lapse ideas brewing in my head for a while, and this is helping to light the fire. I learned a few new things too. Very nice!

The most important is to just get out and start doing it. Techniques and needed gear can be filled in as you go.
