The teagardens and more teagardens ... as far as ur eyes can see you can see teagardens :D.. Kanan devan hill range on which Munnar is located is famnmous for its tea plantation.. India being the highest producer of tea in the world . Most of these plantation provide tea to the Tata tea .. one of indias premier tea companys....Many more spectacular landscapes on the way.

Great job. I love #5...the colors...the intwining of the hills and mountains and how the green gardens are so sharp they pop out of the picture, you did a really nice job of composing it.

Nice photos, Amit.

#1 would have popped had you managed to catch a worker in the teagarden and zoomed in to show him/her amidst those repeating patterns.

#3. Too much sky with nothing to hold the eye in it.. crop it. Nicely seen pattern, though.

#4 and #5 are quite nice.

Amit, I like 1 because it shows the patterns, but the colors of 5 & 6 are best. This may be a stupid question, I've never seen tea grown before, but I assume that the short green ground cover is the tea and not the trees, right? If that's true, what is the purpose of the evenly spaced trees, windbreak?

thanks a ton marie, nmac and nevill.... i wished to shot some teaworkers aswell.. but jus ddiont get to see any and when i did my batteries were out :(... i use a very trusted 2 mp canon a60 with 3x optical .. no. 3 is zoomed version of no. 2 :D.

very true randy yes the ground green cover is tea and the even spaces among them must be for the tea workers to move around easily to pluck tea ...more teagardens pics tonite when i get back from work .

Hope to catch up with u sometime mr. nevill. You stay in amchi mumbai jus like me :D

Cheers..
