So hopefully this is a simple answer. So I have a Pocket wizard Plus II. Can it be used with a plus III or should I sell and make the upgrade?

Yes, you can use the Plus II with the Plus III. However, you will not be able to use all the features of the Plus III, like quad triggering, with the Plus II.

To add ... all pocketwizards are backward compatible for the same channels. In other words, PWIII's channel 1 is going to be compatible with channel I from PWII and PWI.

Obviously, PWIII has 32 channels while PWII has 4 ... so those 4 channels will be compatible.
