Which one is a better choice for my need; Spyder 4 Pro or X Rite Color Munki?
I am looking for an easy to use, accurate yet affordable calibration device.
I do editing/enhancing/manipulating digital photograph images.

I have used both, and they are both excellent. Nothing much to split them.

Have you used either X-Rite or Datacolor devices in the past?

Bought myself a new Spyder4 Pro two weeks ago. Simple to use and does a great job.

Unfortunately I have a bad taste for Datacolor from my days trying to get Spyder3Print to work. There were known problems that Datacolor wasn't able to address and they basically dropped the ball and didn't update the program anymore - wasted my money. Bought a used X-Rite Pulse Elite system and started to make very good printer profiles with no effort. I will eventually be in the market for a new monitor profiling system for my new Dell U2410 and will probably go with the I1 Display Pro system - hopefully the $50 rebates will return later this year. Right now am using an older DTP-94 with Argyll/dispcal and a correction matrix that is available.

No matter which one you get, you'll find my comprehensive instructions here (external link).
