This competition took place almost a month ago, but I'm just now getting around to processing the photos. The venue wasn't very conducive to photography unless you're one of the official photographers, so I didn't get very many pictures and the ones I did get weren't that great. But, I'd still like to share this great sport with the rest of the world.

Three gun is what the name implies. An action shooting sport that uses 3 kinds of guns, a handgun, semi auto rifle (and sometimes full auto), and shotgun. On any given course, you might shoot one of them or all three of them.

Here's one of the first stages, where the competitor has to shoot through the windshield of the car and hit the plate rack. Off to the right, there are some clay pigeons that need to be shot with a rifle.

Here's what one of the stage welcome signs looks like, along with the course of fire.

This is a highly modified shotgun, dedicated for this sport.

This next sequence is a rifle course that requires short range shots and long range shots.

He's shooting the rifle sideways because he has offset sights mounted at an angle so he's still accurate at close range. You'll notice the scope that's mounted in the normal place so he can shoot long range targets.

Here's the long range targets. The shooter is where the crowd is, while the targets are the little black and white dots near the top of the picture.

Thanks. I always have trouble with color because I never know when I over do it.
