Vacation planning help - summer roadtrip

Looking at doing a road trip from Edmonton to Scottsdale, AZ in the summer - are there any must-sees on the way down? Bearing in mind my youngest is not quite 3 yet so we won't be doing a lot of hiking or straying too far from our vehicle.

Right now I think the main stops will be Great Falls and Salt Lake City. Thanks!

And I must admit I totally missed that somehow... DOH!

Bryce, Zion, and Arches National Parks in Utah, too.

If you are talking Edmonton Canada, you have a lot of options. If you played your cards right you could probably hit Yellowstone on the way down, Vegas as well and I'd recommend Page, Az for Horsehoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. If you really wanted an adventure, you could venture across Nevada and into CA to see Yosemite but that would probably add a bit of extra driving.
