The reason is past experience. I once read something by Kelby on teaching photography. In it he said the most ludicrous things. There is no doubt whatsoever that Kelby is a Photoshop genius. One of the best in the world. As a teacher on photography he leaves much to be desired. well said, I agree. Best, Bruce

I loved how he was willing to show all of his crappy shots in his search for a good shot I agree. This is more about shooting & working the scene to find the shot that everyone else will miss. It's one of his better classes with a catchy, misleading title. It should have been "Work the Scene, Work the Setting" FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...

Apr 19, 2013 12:24 | #7 I have no proper training as a hobbiest, and thought I was just odd to "work a scene". Good to know it's normal. Good to know how a working pro works his shot. Its a great mix of photoshop and photography, and theres a ton of McNally, Frakes, Adler, Hurley, etc on there to feed the "pure photographer" in anyone. This space for rent.
