Now I rarely if ever find snakes feeding on anything really. So it was with great satisfaction that I was able to observe this incredible scene of natural history unfold before me. Though I wasn't able to observe the initial attack I did see the gradual swallowing from head to tail which truly needs to be seen to be believed. Unfortunately the snake was rather shy and quickly hid underneath some roots and so the light and framing aren't what they could be but I'm just happy I managed to capture a 1/2 decent photo! Taken during a day hike in Corcovado national park.
Editing photos from my macair so let me know if the colour balance isn't quite right, it's a little difficult to judge.
