HELLO!
I currently shoot with 3 strobes.
I have tried to attach my cyber sync to my flash (to use as a hair light and back light)
however I can't get it to trigger or trigger the other strobes.
Anyone have any suggestions??
Beyond frustrated!
Hoping it is a stupid oversight on my part!

Thank you for your assistance, in advance!
denise~

Not a lot to go on here. . .
I'm assuming you're using alien bees correct? I'm going to also assume you have a cybersync transmitter mounted in the hotshoe of the camera? Is the frequency the same for the transmitter and receiver? Are you trying to shoot in LiveView? Do you have batteries in the receiver and transmitter? Is the receiver plugged into the sync port or the remote port in the back?

Sorry, pretty vague.
I have Interfit Strobes. I use a cyber sync transmitter/receiver sytem.
I use eneloop rechargeable batteries.
Not shooting live view.
The flash is plugged into a receiver with the canon cord that came with my camera, which I have positioned independently away from the camera.
sorry for not including all this!

When shooting the flash won't fire when attached to the cord and the receiver, which will also not trigger the strobes..........

When you say it's hooked up with a cable, are you using a pcSync cable or the mono cable? Pc sync cables are notorious for bad connections. Maybe if you can give a picture so we can see the set up from the back of the strobe. Did you make sure the frequencies match on the receiver and transmitter?

What make/model flash unit?

I don't know of any cord that Canon ships with their cameras that can properly connect a radio receiver to a flash unit.

A photo of the cord you're using, clearly showing the end connectors, would help.

The cord is in fact the one that was shipped by Canon with my camera.

Canon 580 EX II flash

The hot shoe will fire my strobes every time.
The batteries are in correct and they are freshly charged.
I am not using AC power.
The cyber syncs are on the same channel, that is know because it fires
my strobes.
I have Paul C. Buff CSRB/CST all with fresh batteries as well.
I tried again last night, thinking it may be the cord, the transmitter signaled the receiver because the light blinked on the receiver, so thinking it may be the cord.

I will get a photo of the flash and cord later today!
thanks for your help thus far!!

Forget about PC sync cords. As you have found they are always a problem. Get this adapter from Flash Zebra and never worrk about having the correct and working cord again. I have 3 of these and use them with all my flashes and CyberSync receivers.

A hotshoe adapter as Dale suggests, or a Screwlock PC connector like this (external link) will do the trick.

Whatever cord you're using - If it came with your camera then it's not the right cord.
