Recommended Flash under $500

OK, so I do landscape photography, but recently I've been asked to do 2 weddings. I've always used natural light but I know I will need a flash for my 5DII. What would be my best option for this? I am very naive to using flash, so forgive me if this is a stupid question

Do you need one or multiple flashes? I guess the obvious choice is 580EX II.

600 EX-RT $440. I just wish that they would also sell to Canada.

This, or a 430EXII. I like the Yongnuo products, but I like having 1 of the Canon because of the build quality. I'd also get a pair of YN622Cs.

600ex-RT is currently $499 most places... even local shops (if you don't mind the taxes)

I have the 580EX II in my wish list on B&H and I just noticed that it has been discontinued. Anybody know anything about this?

Would you say a refurbished flash from Canon is as good as a new one?

I'd go { and I have} with the YN products. While I have one 580ex2, I have gotten 4 more YN flashes. can't tell the difference except for the money I saved
