I currently use my 24L exclusively on my Glidecam but i feel im needing slightly wider. I dont really want to shell out for the Canon 14mm L. I know there will be big differences between the 2 but for anyone who uses the Samyang, how is it?

Thanks.
Oh, and Im using it on a full frame

I am curious about this as well.

Are you planning to get the Cine version? I hear the optics are the same on both, but the Cine version has a different focus design.

Thanks for the link. As I will only be using it with a Glidecam, this one will do me http://www.samyang-lens.co.uk …m-f28-if-ed-umc-lens.html (external link)

I was going to suggest the sigma 20 because it is slightly wider than your 24

I see you've already got the lens, but yea, it is definitely a great lens for WA steadicam shots. the cine version has a de-clicked aperture, which can be nice when flying from a shaded area to a sunny area. the rokinon/samyang glass is probably one of the sharpest wide angles out there, I haven't shot with anything that comes close in comparison, however, I have not used to 16-35 2.8..

I think you'll enjoy your purchase, as both a video and photo lens.
