5 exposures HDR. Combined in Photomatix, edited in LR4, with Viveza 2. Looking for advices on cropping, and processing. Does the middle horizon work here? Should I crop it so it's not in mid and more "pleasing to the eye". Is the image too saturated? Do the skies look funny? I tried to darken some parts of the skies near the lighthouse to reduce the halo, tried to make the skies more uniform.

Thank you in advance for viewing and any comments/advices you may have.

I must say i like this poto. The composition, the reflection in the water and the warm tones, make it pleasing to look at. But.. the sky does look a little funny. Also, the part where the sun breaks through the clouds is a bit too bright i think.

I like it :) Yes, I see the halo bit around the lighthouse... I think with some persistence and fine tuning you can resolve that. I agree the sun seems a bit too bright and the only other thing that bugs me is that strange blue bit on the corner of the lighthouse...maybe desaturate that or something??

Thank you for the CC. Will have to tone that down and fix that sky somehow. The strange blue bit on corner, I thought that was weird too. But when I zoomed all the way in. It actually is the corner light of the lighthouse casting a blue light. I'll tried to desat it and see if it comes out better.

I really love this photo exactly how it is. I read the other comments and I like the "weird blue bit" because I feel like it accents the same color shown on the boat tarp along with the blue glass in the top window without noticing it. And I could tell it was supposed to be there and assumed it was a light. But I didn't even notice it until I read the other comments. I don't think the sun is too bright at all. I feel like it makes the image whole rather than focusing on one thing like the light house, if that makes sense.

I zoomed in a bit and saw the little curtains in the lighthouse, it made me wonder if anyone lives in this lighthouse? What a view it would be :)

I think the image has potential, but as is it's over cooked.

Back it off a bit and I think you've got a winner.

Great composition. A bit cluttered maybe but you hand no choice.

There is some potential, but the HDR and processing ruin it.
