Hello all,
I'm having a heck of a time calibrating my monitor. Can you please have a look at this photo and tell me if looks balanced to you on your calibrated monitor?

Thanks!
Steve

Looks fine on my calibrated monitor. Maybe a tad over exposed but looking at the histogram, nothing is blown out.

Assuming the hair band is white, the WB is very slightly warm, which is just as well because it gives a more pleasant skin tone. Looks fine.

Am I the only one seeing a purple blob to the right of the baby (as you look at the pic)? Otherwise the colors look good.

No, there is a purple blob and a yellow one in the other corner. I just assumed it was something really close.

A touch on the light side, but otherwise it seems fine.

Yeah, I saw the yellow and assumed the same. The part I am seeing to the right looks the same except it's appears (to me, at least) to be floating at the same distance as the baby. Not closer to the camera as the yellow on the lower left is. Weird. Maybe my eyes are going.

It's got a slight yellow/green tint on my monitor, like the WB is slightly off and it does look a tad to the right exposure wise. I'm calibrated, but I'm calibrated to match my Epson R2880's output so it could look very different for me than someone who is calibrated to match something else.

Looks fine on mine. Is the lens a Sigma?

All these responses... can someone define the term, balanced (as it relates to an image)? What does that mean?? How do I know that the image is balanced?

I feel that tint is usually either right or wrong - the difference is usually noticeable, and not desired... but everything else is quite subjective. Some people like pictures warmer, others cooler... some tend to like overexpose, others under, which is all subjective. So, I'm confused about balanced...

I think the purple blob, the yellow blob and the thing on the very bottom right are all things that were very close to the camera when the shot was taken. Maybe grass or something. But that is fine if that's what it is. The only thing I'd do is crop out whatever that is at the bottom right corner.

Thanks everyone.
Yes the blobs of color are some very close flowers and the WB is slightly warm on my monitor as well which is what I was going for. @Samgoit, yes its the Sigma 70-200 2.8OS on a 5Dc.

Photo is of my daughter who just turned 6 months. This was taken in the 15 minutes in between thunderstorms!

Thank you everyone.
