Yongnuo 468 flash question

I have a weird problem with a Yongnuo 486 (mark I) flash. When it's mounted on a camera and is positioned vertically or tipped a bit forward, it won't fire.
When the whole rig is tipped backwards, it fires just fine.
The same happens on 3 different cameras, so it's not my particular camera connection.

Have you guys seen anything like that?
