HDR done from 3 images with Photomatix. PP done in Lightroom. First time I've gone and taken pictures specifically with HDR in mind. C&C please. Also..... if the images don't line up perfectly...does anyone know of a manual way in Photomatix to correct this?? I had 5 images to use but had to use 3 only because it was having a hard time lining the clouds up or something. Or maybe there is no way around this? edited to add : ISO 100 18mm f/22 1/80 sec ..... would you have changed any of the settings?? (and I forgot my lens hood at home :P)

Will you include moving subjects next time...reshoot on a calmer day. Shadows need opened a bit. ;)

That kind of cloud is usually moving pretty rapidly by cloud standards. Therefore a quick burst and high shutter speed would be called for. Or you could moved the road and the tree so that the clouds were coming at or away from you. ;)

I'm not a fan of the vignette or the lens flare. And what's that light spot in the grass on the right? It draws the eye. For an HDR, there's a lot of dark in the shot -- the land on the left and the tree line in the distance for example. As for composition, since there's no strong asymmetrical element and it's a straight on perspective shot, you might consider making it a square, centered composition. The rule of thirds is a guideline, not an immutable law.

I'm not sure what that was...I'm guessing sunlight since it was after a storm and the sun was breaking through clouds here and there.

Ok, so HDR shouldn't have so much black? I only recently learned about making them and am still learning the ropes. I'll make a note of that clouds tip.

chauncey... thanks for the feedback also and for checking out my work. I really need to get busy and get some new stuff posted on there! Most of it is from when I still only had a 35mm :P
