For almost all the pictures, I used the 18-55mm kit lens. I took them all at about f5.6, with ISO set at 1600 or 3200 depending on lighting. I didn't use flash for any of the pictures.

WOW Aren! You have a LOT of nice photos in this thread, in fact, too many for me to comment on even a fraction of them. IMHO, it would be better to break them down to 2 or 3 per post.
The Porshe 911 SC looked pretty good, as did that car that said Camino on the front, and had refference to the Pan American racing.
LOL on the WRX that was an Irwindale Police car.

Nice shots. I'm very impressed. You've used the show lighting to perfection. Was it relatively dark around the show with the cars floodlit? I ask because you've got some shots that have such a dark background with only the shape of the car highlighted- great look.

As for the lighting, it was generally pretty bright, but the ambient light was rather soft, whereas the lighting on the cars was very hard. I wish I had a polarizer to get rid of some of those strong reflections, but alas I am a newb.

I don't know what that truck was... it was an "Icon" I'm sure it was some custom thing, maybe from an FJ body? But it was pretty sick

As for the 50mm... good luck. Most the time you will be too close to use it, especially with the 20d.
