Just Add Milk

From a photo shoot I did this morning.

Looks like a fun shot, maybe blur the white border a bit to match the blur of the background

Great concept! Looks like you had a co-operative model too :> I like the way that the various shades of blue help to tie the image elements together.

I know you didn't ask for CC....but I think this would be soooo much better without the cereal box and plastic milk container. I'd have gone with a wooden bowl, no box and a glass pitcher for the milk. It would take the image from Sears to Williams Sonoma. I like the idea though

A beautiful baby and nice idea! I'd agree with getting the cereal box and milk container out of the image if you duplicate it in the future - would definitely kick it up a notch.

Wow has this little one grown SO much!! beautiful little lady!

Personally, I like the cereal box (although the save $5 inside thing is a bit distracting but you can't always choose what's on the front of the box) but since you didn't use milk in the picture, the milk jug should go (or as someone said, a plain glass bottle would have been a nice added touch).

Either way though - I really love the shot! Cute and fun - which obviously this little one is!

Well I wanted the glass bowl to show the cereal through. The dad loved the cereal box & milk; I have been doing her photos since the day she was born and he said this was his favorite of them all. So, it is just a personal taste but I am happy my client loved this.
Interesting that one of you like the blue background and another thought it distracting.

I think it's super cute Maureen... I am going to agree with the person who wasn't a fan of the background though.. although I didn't read through for their exact comment.

The background color just seems unnatural to the overall scene. Maybe if you just tone the saturation down a little bit and adjust the hue? And then do a little brilliance/warmth on everything but the background... I think it would help her pretty blue eyes to take more presence....

Go for it Kristy. This is going in her room which is done in turquoise blue & brown. Mom picked the background.

Totally understand... Maybe you could pick a turquoise mat for the image and a brown frame? You could pull out some of the blue from a fruit loop? lol...

I like them Kristy; I am not framing them and the photos have been purchased so it is what it is. I also gave them a similar shot like yours so they have lots to choose from. Plus regular old shots.
