this is the 2nd time in the past week i've dealt w/ this...annoying!
i've imported a couple of cards worth of RAW images, and then applied some quick keyword and IPTC data to the files.
i then started going through the images and realized i didn't see any images taken w/ the 16-35 lens. i went to the metadata option and selected that lens and voila! the photos are now there. but that's the only ones now (and some photos taken w/ the 85)...my folder is only showing 65 photos (of the opening band), and i know i had a few hundred in total.
when i go to re-import the images from the card, it sees them as duplicates even though i can't see them in the folder. under windows explorer it is also only showing those 65 photos, and i checked the recycle bin to see if i somehow selectively deleted the others but that's not the case.
in the previous case, i ended up re-importing them even though they were duplicates and then lo and behold, all the images were visible in the catalog, and now i had two copies of the re-imported images.
gah. what the hell is going on here?
