hi
can someone give me a rough, real world idea as to how many clicks i can expect from single charge, please? i've trawled thru the quick start manual, but either missed it, or there isn't any reference to it in there.

If I'm using mine here and there every day, it'll last around a week. If I'm shooting a paid gig all day, it'll run for about 7-8 hours. Video nonstop is about 2 hours for me. Not sure about wifi, gps, timelapse, etc.

EDIT: Misread your post. I'm not sure on the EXACT count of clicks.

Manual says approx. 1090 shots at room temp. Page 31 of the Basic Instruction Manual. I was just looking at it earlier today.

I'm slightly staggered (and VERY pleased!) to tell you, that for a pro' concert shoot last week, I got 2,366 shots and still had 26% showing in the battery AFTER I'd emptied the memory card to my computer!

I get less if use is "here and there", but still....I expect well over 1,000 shots from a fully charged battery.

Regards,

Simon

PS: the most I got from my 7D was around 700!
PPS: It really makes a difference as to how you shoot/chimp and which lenses you use (for the above concert, I used a 70-200L non-IS).

6D/7D and ALL Canon/Sigma gear SOLD!!!! Now: Olympus PEN EP-5 & OM-D EM-5 Mk2 and 8 lenses!

Thanks guys, that's all I needed click "pay". Was just a little worried I'd be juggling batteries all day, as I usually shoot between 500 and 1000 clicks per event unless its a full boxing card (1500+)

2000 shots is fairly easy if you aren't using the rear screen too much.

Yeah, the batteries are pretty long lasting. I use the 5D3, so not an exact comparison but the same battery, and for a day at the races I come back with between 2,000 and 2,500 shots taken, and always still have life left in the battery. I have never yet found myself nervously wondering if the battery will last till the end of the last race, there has always been plenty left.

If battery life concerns you, buy a grip, and/or a second battery. I charged my LP-E6 batteries before a shoot last week. I took just over 600 shots and got home with one at 90% and one at 88% in my 60D. Same batteries, different camera though. I don't have wifi or GPS. I wish my 5D could do that.
