That little Honda was earning some frequent flyer miles. I think you showed up to this spot just a few minutes later, but you were NOT the one pro who stood in the line of fire... Website

There were a few that were doing that. I get it that they are working and we are just there, but come on. Almost vindictive... Brian

There was one that did it during the Rolex race, I was standing at the fence trying when I got my shot of the 99 in the air...then this pro with a big ass Nikon lens came and literally stood right in front of me...I took a pic of it...there was another that was doing something REALLY stupid...he was at the end of the wall below the turn 6 flag station...no barrier between him and the track...I got a shot of that too... I wonder if the guy you saw at 6 was the same guy who got scolded at turn 5 for climbing onto the barrier. Brian

Nice shot of the driver's helmet from the apex with a flash. Brian

I have to say there are times I do the same. Unfortunately many times I am not there enjoying the race. I have specific light and timing and the race planned out for clients. For instance I shoot into the sun at Turn 3. And get the light reflection off the curbing. It takes a few laps. And I am out. I might have to block a fan. Halston - MotorSports Photographer

I have specific light and timing and the race planned out for clients. For instance I shoot into the sun at Turn 3. And get the light reflection off the curbing. It takes a few laps. And I am out. I might have to block a fan. This event was the first time in years at a pro event(ALMS to this point) at RA I was not yelled at by a fan to move out of the way. It normally happens into the braking zone at Turn 6. I was told this past Petit that is the 'only place a fan can get a good photo'. And I should move out of the way of the fans. I realize the guys inside the fence are working, they are not there as fans. I also know that you have to work with the light when you can, I get all of that...been on both sides of it. But I know that when I am there working, I try to be courteous. The fans are there to have a good time, and if they want to snap off a pic or two for their scrapbook or whatever, good for them, I don't want to deliberately block them out. Website
