I bought a new bird feeder. I have been having a lot of fun watching these little guys, and, of course, taking pictures:

Some great shots, nice feeder and the contents look delicious, you are going to have a lot of variety in birds I would imagine. Now get ready to dig deep in your pocket cause these little guys are going to love your place!

Great job Joel and you are blessed with a good variety of birds already. Now you need some perches to go with the new feeder :)

Looks like you've made lotsa of the little guys and gals happy Joel.
Pretty images and nice variety you've got, but I'll 3rd the notion of separate perches for maximum effect.

Nice! I wish I could get shots like those of our feeder but the window screen is...well, you know!

We have ONE medium size feeder hanging on the porch - holds about 4 pounds of seed. We have gone through 75 pounds this winter!

Thanks everyone for the comments and advice. I had already thought about the fact that birds on a feeder are not as appealing at ones on a limb or perch. They do occasionally land on the ring over the feeder which is a nice shot. Also someone said get ready to spend money. I assume you mean on bird feed, but, of course, the lens bug will also bite. 100-400 might be coming.

guntoter, it is amazing how a little bird feed can add so many things to our wish list, I can see a 100-400 on it's way to Knoxville soon.

Place the feeder within 15 ft (or closer) of your porch or patio, and let the little guys get used to seeing you there. Soon they will ignore you, and pictures will be easy.

A 70-200 at that range will give you a great opportunity at good pictures.

One of my coworkers told me about a friend of his that had hummingbird feeders, and when he refills the feeder, that the hummers would start feeding from the feeder while he was carrying it back to it's hanger.
That would be a fantastic chance to get good ones.
