Hi all.. I want a long lens for location shoots for weddings..
What do you guys think? I'm leaning towards the 135 as my 24-105 I already use for versatility

If you cannot get a 2.8 70-200 then get the 135 to use in conjunction with your 85 1.8. 5D Mark III / 70-200 2.8L IS II / 24-105L / 50 1.8 stm / Tamron 70-300 VC / Sigma 85mm 1.4 Art

RPCrowe Cream of the Crop More info | Apr 21, 2013 22:03 | #4 I never felt that the 135mm les was quite long enough, especially on a full frame camera. This was true even when the 135mm was the longest focal length available on rangefinder 35mm cameras without a reflex housing. See my images at http://rpcrowe.smugmug.com/

So it all depends on if you want the bokeh that the 135 offers or if you prefer the versatility the 70-200 offers. 5D Mark III / 70-200 2.8L IS II / 24-105L / 50 1.8 stm / Tamron 70-300 VC / Sigma 85mm 1.4 Art

On crop, the 135L comes out to somewhere near 200mm (although apparent blur amount will be reduced, since you're seeing less of the frame). You can stage your distance to your liking and I don't see 200mm as a great advantage unless it's coming in at a wider possible aperture.
