I was hoping to catch some fly-byes of the Lyrid Meteor shower and only caught one (center) ` the line towards the right of the photo is a plane. Those meteors are hard to capture as fast and faint as they are. But no complaints here...even without the meteors...how can you complain about a view like this from early this morning.

I use Canon gear...have several bodies and lenses and am quite pleased with them.

Exactly...I just misspelled that...my bad Can't correct that in the title, either...that I know of.

I took this this morning...after the weather man mentioned this last night.

Nice capture!

I had my gear out 2:45am - 5:20am, had a really nice dark portion when the moon set before early skylight hit, even then scanning the images before I left for work I saw 1, maybe 2 Lyrid's.

Captured 1 Sat flare + some other space junk crawling thru the images.
I'll post mine later tonight, assuming first I get my 2 boys pinewood derby cars mostly done with them, as Friday 4/26 is our pack race.

I think tonight is supposed to be the max of them. The Moon will be killing the night sky unfortunately.

With or without meteor or airplane, this is one wonderful image.
Well worth the effort.
