Finally went back and edited this. It was taken on my first visit to Yosemite with a few friends. This is a 3 exposures HDR combined in PS 6, and edited in LR 4. Trying out a new HDR technique, going for a natural look. Any advice, critiques, and comments are appreciated. Thank you in advance. :)

To fix halo, what is the recommended tool? (I seem to keep running into this problem.) Clone stamp? Healing brush? Thanks in advance.

Well, it's best if you just don't create the halos in the first place. Instead of using Photoshop's HDR feature, try blending by hand using luminosity masks. There are lots of tutorials on the web describing how to do it. It's really no more work once you get the hang of it, and you have a lot more control.

Aside from the halos, your photo turned out quite well. The channel of light reflected in the water does a great job of leading the eye into the background.

Thank you for the tips, Phrasikleia. I will have to learn more about luminous mask and try my hand at them. I like the dynamic range that HDR gives, but not so much on its "side effects". I just clicked on the link to your site. They are full of stunning images, definitely a treat to the eyes.
