I though I would do a google image search for my flickr name Jason Milich (external link) to find out who's using my images
here are a few links to some of my images that have been used

Racingblog.de (external link)
Cricket Yorkshire (external link)
http://www.omnilexica.com/?q=the+rack"]Omnilexica.com
LetsGoToEurope.com (external link)
moneytalksnews.com (external link)
Therugbyforum.com (external link)
dish.andrewsullivan.com (external link)
Therugbyforum.com (external link)

Does anyone know a way I can find out who is using my snaps other than google images? I don't mind them being used, I just want to know where they end up

Thanks
Jason

You don't mind that all those sites are making profit from you? Way to go.

Its more about exposure at this point, if I ever to start a photography business I'll change my usage rights, but until then, I'll let people use them as long as they credit me

What's the general rule with flickr? I know all images are generally copyright protected, but does flickr add anything to this. Sorry for the distraction.

Flickr doesn't add anything by themselves but you can specify Creative Commons rights to your images as Milutiche has done.

That's actually a misconception. It seems that you aren't specialized in any particular genre other than you shoot everything. Your name won't be associated with particular subject matters. Think about this.....what sorts of photographer you want to be known for? Also, Flickr is a notorious place for people hunting stock photos without paying the photographer, other than promising them with credits. It gets a bit hilarious when they are from another continent. Is not like you would get contracted for a photo shoot from someone living in Europe while you are living in America. :) You aren't that big yet and they would fly you there.

I don't specialize in any genre in particular, I am in full time employment and photography is a hobbie, I have made some money in the past couple of months through my hobbie, although not much, it did pay for half of my 70-200 mk2.

The fact that my photos have been used from the UK to Europe to the New York times is flattering to me, I don't care if there is no financial reward and at this stage and I don't mind people "Hunting" for my photos via Flickr.

Finding who has used my images contacting them and thanking them is one way I'm making contacts around the world, who knows, one day it might just pay off and I might just be "that big"
