I'm thinking pine warbler, but I am not convinced. The eyes just don't seem to fit anything that I could find in my book.
This one I am more certain of as a pine warbler... though I still have some doubts.

You are correct about the variability of skill/experience. Being a total song bird Noob, means that I completely trust those who sound more informed than me. I was definitely not trying to be little the entire birding community (which I am starting to consider my self a apart of). I've been birding for 30 years and I've only seen it a few times, usually when they're bathing or the wind is blowing from behind.
