So I did a photo shoot today. The weather was beautiful today. About 70 degrees, sun shining, but it was a tad bit windy. I did manage to get some nice shots of her but there were a couple like this with the fly away hair. I think next time I will tell the person to make sure she wears plenty of hairspray...

I know this can be edited in Photoshop but, Look at all those loose hairs... In her face, above her head... In her face...

Is this a keeper to fix or just toss it away?

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

IMO, I'd toss. Along with the hair, I think the hard shadows bring it down as well. Time for a reshoot on a less windy day.

I think the answer is who the person in picture is.
A significant figure in one's life, makes a Keeper image all the time no mater of technique or image quality.
Yes a lot can be done in pp.

There are much better ones. I am probably going to omit this one.

Neat effect but nah. I think I'm still going to omit this one.

I did consider doing something like this though... Maybe fixing the loose strands of hair.

Actually not bad, but then you need to make your mind on your image so go for what feel right to you.

Sorry but it looks like a quick snapshot in harsh lighting and windy conditions, not the result of a planned photoshoot. But to answer your original question I'd toss it

Good Greif. Stop with the HORRIBLE editing software.

Gorgeous girl to photograph but you messed this one up. Why you used pop up flash I dont know. The sun is right above her. Dont worry about trying to get the pond behind her in the picture.

Go take her to a nice shade spot. Get to the edge of the shade where the light spills in softly so there are no shadows on her face and photograph her. Ideally go around 6 pm, with the sun behind her but the same shade setup and you will capture her in the beautiful way she deserves. Good Luck.

I was using an off camera flash on a stand with an umbrella but we were on an open pier and before the first shot the wind almost blew my flash, stand, umbrella etc into the lake. I didn't use the flash for these shots.

She was supposed to bring her BF with her but she had a Dr appointment or something. The BF was going to hold a reflector I brought but obviously couldn't use.

The shadows might get me to omit this one, but not the hair. In this setting, the flyaway hair gives an air of fun and a carefree attitude that I find appealing.

I agree - the lighting is really bad...the hair is very secondary.
The edits :)

I find the lighting here to be unacceptable for professional work, particularly for a photo for which you could simply have moved her to an area of open shade. delete.

Shadows and lighting are WAY too harsh. It may have been a beautiful day but you have to pick your shooting location better. Toss it.
