Cheers, a few weeks ago my wife bought some pillow protectors for our boys bedding and when I saw them my eyes lit up. They are like velum but more like a cloth material and really seem to work as a good diffusion aid ( water resistant too ) I have used this in all of my recent shots.
I just removed the caps, placed this over the diffuser body and held in place with an elastic band, I pulled it tight then replaced the caps and added some duck ( gaffer ) tape for extra security.
don't get me wrong, these still had some work in photo shop but not very much, just the basic workflow that I normally use but with less effort :)

Nice. :)

The pillow protectors might just be the straw that breaks the camels back! Your missus must be livid!

Wonderful shots, Killerclown. Your flies are awesome - great colours, superb light and very well captured. I agree with Denis that the second wasp is more pleasing. Great idea with the pillow protectors! :)

Superb shots - wasp shots are brilliant.

Who would have thought pillow protectors had such a good use other than protecting pillows lol - they really work well.
