In that last shot, if you are talking about the dark thin streak, that is the wad, not the shot......

Well, I wondered myself when I first saw it - particularly as it was only 1/500s - and I am sometimes going to 1/1500s to freeze a fish in mid-air!

I showed it to several shooters and all were certain it was the shot. I have others where you can see the wad - and it flies apart and goes off line soon after leaving the gun. The streak ones are quite different.

Here are a couple of what I have been assured is the shot...

light sources: light painting with cell-phone flash and brake lights. This is pretty much SOOC. I think I'll photoshop the streaks on the car for the final.
