I visited the local wildlife area this morning to check it out after the recent rains. At least there's water in the ponds and I think it's a bit early in the season to see large amounts of birds there yet. I did manage to take a few shots of birds though and will post more after I've processed them.

When I shoot weddings I have people who walk in front of me all the time, but it doesn't bother me because I lock the focus and keep my finger on the back button and can keep shooting without losing the focus on the subject. On a shoot focus and recompose all the time using the back button, it allows me to recompose just once and shoot several times. Shooting a moving subject, always pressing the back button all the time while shooting continuous on AI Servo. I guess if someone is used to the other way it works just fine, but for me the back button focusing is much much better and practical
