Consider the 85mm Sigma as a great alternative option. ;) It's actually sharper than the 85L II and has warmer colours. Though the bokeh is not quite as smooth but in most cases you won't be able to tell.

Thanks.
85mm 1.4 Sigma. It is a sharp lens even at f/1.4, especially with a camera that doesn't need focus recomposing. :D
Tussauds already provides effective lighting and I figured I wasn't going to do better with just a speedlite. It was from about ISO 200 to 800, thanks to it being a f/1.4 lens.
This is one of Sigma's best lens, and it ranks as sharper than the 35mm.

Thanks for the info Mornnb.

Pete

I know its grainy and my daughter is way under exposed but I still like this because it gives the feel of when we were there the other day, like we were on another planet. its 2 pictures just raised camera and blended in photoshop.

I've tried the Sigma 85 and I didn't really like it. It just doesn't feel good in my hands, I didn't like the colors and the contrast... I preffer Canon 1.8 and hopeful;y I can get the 85L soon
