Gary,

Great shot! But I am surprised the station authorities allowed you to take that picture. I've tried doing the same (taking pictures) at various train stations in Europe, and some station staff generally rush out quite quickly to actively discourage me from doing so.

No such experiences at various subway stations though.

Great picture! How do you get it to look the way it looks. I can't put my finger on it other than it looks like the color grade is changed or the contrast is low. Let me know because that's a great style!

Yep it really does seem to vary. A pal of mine went and spoke to the office/station manager at a London Underground station and explained what he wanted to do and she was more than happy for him to shoot with his tripod on the assurance he wouldn't get in anyone's way.

Conversely Victoria Station (overground) in London doesn't permit tripods but you are free to take photos.

It was a whole load of small changes.
small reduction in highlights and whites, small increase in blacks and shadows.
small reduction in luminosity on orange green and blue, small increase on red, purple, magenta.
small reduction in saturation on green, aqua, blue.
gentle S curves on the red and green channel. gentle S on the blue but the tail is lifted up the side slightly.
didn't apply lens correction as I wanted the vignetting and even added a little more.

I'm not a "pet photo" person, but this is stunning work. Nicely done.
