One of the first series I shot at the Monterey Bay Aquarium with my new (refurb) 5d3 and 24L... HUGE upgrade from the 5dc in basically every way!

Photo from last weeks Nurburgring 24 hours race using the Canon 5D Mark III (with battery grip) and the 300mm f/2.8L IS II lens (with 1.4x extender III)

Audi R8 LMS going downhill in the rain at Breidscheid. Shot from the bottom of the spectator viewing area (420mm, f/4, 1/1000, ISO 100)

If you are in Manual mode, and set to Auto ISO.....there is no ETTR. The camera chases the middle of the meter, you CANNOT set + or - EC to try and push the histogram to the right. Canon gave everyone 95% of what they wanted with auto ISO, but left out probably the most important 5%. Hopefully someday a firmware upgrade will address the issue.

I asked Canon about a Firmware upgrade to improve this. They said nothing is planned, but have passed on my 'ticket' to the appropriate dept. Perhaps if enough people made the same suggestion we might get it - it ought to be do-able...
