Tired (external link) by headshotzx (external link), on Flickr

This frame was captured at 7.20pm midweek.

The young Marist stands tired, worn out; with a heavy school bag hanging off slouched shoulders, nodding off every few seconds.

This is the sad reality of students being pushed at such a young age to excel in studies and co-curricular activities. I guess, if anything, it's conditioning for the decades of stressful work life ahead of them.

Is this the environment we want our future generations to grow up in?

-----

So this picture went viral among the local schools students' facebook accounts, and I can't say I don't know why. It's just something that's becoming all too common yet overlooked especially in our asian societies.

Thank you :) I'm actually shocked at how fast the post took off and became a hit locally. Hopefully it exacted some change in thought about the education system in Singapore, coming from the responses it got over here in this Facebook link : http://www.facebook.com …2.258298.566373112&type=1 (external link)

Nice use of tones to back up the story.
