GreenToe - Reverse Auction Photography Site

Hey everyone,

If you haven't heard of GreenToe, I'd recommend you check it out. It's a site in which buyers can submit the highest offer they're willing to pay for an item and retailers can decide whether or not to sell it to them at that price.

I was skeptical at first but decided to give it a try. I "bid" $96 for a Benro Travel Tripod (usually $139) late last night, and an authorized Canon Dealer, Unique Photo, had accepted my deal by the time I woke up. I just called them to confirm my order. I'll keep you all updated with what happens but it sounds good so far!

Nice. Unique Photo is who I wound up getting my Lee 4x4 CPL from when I needed a replacement; their whole process was good and straight forward.

Worked for me (also from Unique photo). Saved a few bucks. Make sure to look for coupon codes before you make a bid if you check it out.

Update: The tripod is awesome!

What was the price on the 6D, and which merchant ended up fulfilling your order?

I was able to purchase the 6D brand new for $1600!! But this was before Canon apparently increased the retail price. $1600 includes shipping, tax, and was after the $100 rebate/limited time offer that Greentoe gave when I made an account.

I put in a bid Tuesday for a Tamrac Evolution 9 for $145 and Unique photo accepted the offer the next day. Today the bag arrived and it's brand new. Nothing that I can see is wrong with it. I saved about $80 on it.
Shipping was fast but it's in New Jersey which is like a 5 hour drive from where I am.
