Has anyone made a recent offer on a 5D3?

I just did for $2650. I'll try to remember to post here if it's accepted by anyone.

There are some terrific 5D3 deals out there right now for USA models; the B&H printer package deal is super and Canon Price Watch has a couple of good 5D3 deals as well. So if my offer isn't accepted I won't be very disappointed.

It has been two days and no offer yet. My offer may be low, but trying to find out what the lowest is I can pay. This offer is for the 85mm 1.8.

You should just email Andrew and ask him. I've done that.

Just did and got a reply. For the lens (Normally $419), the lowest that is wanted is $389. I was hoping for $360, but I'll have to wait until Thursday to nab it since that is when I get paid. Sadly, that will be two days before the Canon rebate ends and I won't be able to get on that. :(

Somewhere in this thread I think Andrew said something about the promo a couple of weeks ago was the last one for the year. Not sure what's in store for early next year.

Alright so I put my first offer ever in, I registered a while back, in the very beginning and never used the original coupons that were emailed to me and well I didn't realize they expired lol.
Anyway, I put an offer in on a Lowepro bag and the meter showed greenish yellow (about $9-$10 under full green IIRC) and set it for 5 days. I didn't hear or get anything so after 3 days I bumped the offer by $5 which now makes it almost full green, and still no bites or no counter offers. Does the meter have to show full green before they get back to you or am I missing something?

Success!
I submitted a bid on the New Canon 100-400 v. II Lens
Bid was submitted on Dec 26th
Bid was accepted 2 days later
Andrew was prompt in answering questions and easing my concerns before I bid.
Retailer was excellent to work with.
I contacted retailer after my bid was accepted, and I paid extra for 2nd day air shipping.
I received my lens today and LOVE it so far.
I saved $194 off of retail (counting $20 welcome bonus & NOT counting extra $$ I paid for 2nd day shipping)
Considering the demand and lack of availablity of this lens, I'm happy!!

Equipment List: Canon 5D MarkIII, Canon 7D MKII, Canon 15-85, Canon 24-105 f4 L, Canon 100mm F2.8 L Macro, Canon 100-400 f5.6L II, Canon 430EX II Flash,

I also had a good experience using greentoe. Placed a bid this past Monday for a Zuiko 25mm f 1.8, recieved an email from someone at greentoe saying that if I bumped my bid up to $350, there was a retailer ready to accept it. That's still $50 cheaper than anywhere else so I went for it. Recieved my lens 2 days later. Color me satisfied.

Steve

They should get back to you either way, but not necessarily before the end of your offer. The meter is supposed to predict success, but I wouldn't trust it.

One thing to remember is that this process in inconsistent. I don't mean that in a negative way. It is driven by supply and demand and the motivation that any given retailer has to sell something at any point in time. I had multiple counter offers coming in on one item, and dead silence on others.

Oh OK I don't feel so bad now, I didn't get anything, I did place another offer with full green meter and I'm waiting to see what happens with it, if it doesn't go thru I'll just buy from a "normal" retailer lol.
Thank you for the info :-)
