I think the offer success potential meter is mostly annoying. Providing up to the minute pricing at several key retailers for comparison, which they mostly do, is way more useful info to me. The meter just seems to lead to confusion.

+1 here too... it's really is hit or miss. I offered about the same price for both an 82mm B+W filter earlier this year that I offered recently for the same exact filter but this time in the cheaper 77mm size and it wasn't taken. The 82mm sailed right through and the 77mm offer was not accepted. I was solid green on the 77mm and yellowish-green on the 82mm so that seems to be a rather inaccurate measure of success. In my opinion the "red/yellow/green" scale is designed more to get you in to the "green" at a price point your likely to accept so you'll at least make an offer and be "locked-in".

I never heard anything from GT or anyone else for that matter on my 77mm offer so I must have been way off even though my offer was barely 10% below average retail... I'd rather pay full price and know who I'm getting it from (and when it's getting here) then to just save a few bucks and not know that. I guess high-end filters are in demand... ;)

I didn't mind waiting for an answer. I save close to $50 on a camera bag and I was in no rush at all so I benefitted from GT.

I placed several orders a few days ago and got some of them accepted. My order for a 100-400 II was accepted 2 days ago and today it arrived at my doorstep! So far I am very impressed (I need to wait to receive the 5% cash back to complete the story).

What price was accepted on the 100-400 MK II, if you don't mind my asking? Thanks in advance and good luck on receiving the rebate.

Too bad there is nothing like this in the UK :(

Check whether any UK retailers offer affiliate marketing schemes

Have been debating on whether to buy an 85 1.8 for the longest time. Finally decided to pull the trigger and have been scouring eBay for a deal. Had been checking the classifieds here until the new post requirement started. Was always checking for Canon refurbs, but the 85 was never in stock.

Finally came down to used from KEH ($342) or new $369 (with $50 Canon rebate). Last minute decided to try greentoe. They've got a $20 rebate for first purchasers, coupled with the Canon rebate, I knew I could at least beat the $369. Turns out my offer of $389 (regular price is $419) was accepted, so I'm getting a new lens for $319 shipped.

Just completed the order this morning, the lens hasn't even shipped, so there's still time for this to go sideways, but I'm delighted so far.

I could have written an almost identical post three weeks ago during a search for the 85mm 1.8 lens. I checked the same sites, found the same prices and decided to give GreenToe a try.
My offer was accepted on a Monday and the new lens was in my mailbox three days later. With the Canon rebate and first-time customer offer from GreenToe, this was an exceptional deal and a painless process. Hope your transaction goes as smoothly as mine did.

Submitted my offer in the wee morning hours today, Wednesday, supposed to deliver on Friday. East coast to west coast. Wow!

Since I was racing against the clock in terms of the 1/31/15 purchase deadline to qualify for the Canon rebate, I started wondering if I should up my offer, just to get the deal done. I was going to save more than the Canon rebate when I factored in the greentoe first time buyers $20 rebate, even if I bid just $10 under list. By the time I got to work, my offer was accepted. It was done so quickly, I was kicking myself wondering if I should have offered less than $389.

I offered a ridiculously low bid thinking that I have nothing to lose; they emailed me back saying that a seller would bite if I increase my bid by $50 and got my Canon 6D for a crazy low price which included a $300 rebate from Canon. My rebate has been successfully processed (checked the status on their website) and am waiting for my Amex card to arrive.

I purchased a 5d iii through Greentoe last week. There was a $300 rebate on it. Where do I get a rebate form? I received the camera and invoice today but do not see anything regarding a rebate???

I believe that you have to go to a website here https://www.acbpromotions.com/canonrebates/ (external link) and print out a few pages and follow the instructions. You have to cut out a bar code including an image of your camera from the original box and a receipt. I had 2 receipts; one with a higher price of my 6D with a kit lens but I bought a body only, and another one for the actual amount I paid before the rebate. I called greentoe and they told me to submit the higher one. I have attached a pic of the bar code that they asked to send along with other papers. Good luck :)

you're welcome. Relax, have a glass of wine; it'll all be good. BTW if you pre submit your rebate they will ask you for some kind of code and I'm not sure but I think in my case it was 914 or something like that. here is my rebate status screenshot. Just make sure you shoot every piece of supporting documentation before mailing it :)

I cannot seem to locate a Promotion ID to enter into the website you linked.
This shouldn't be this difficult, lol.
