Completed my second successful transaction with Greentoe. 70-200L 2.8 IS for $300 less than list at the big superstores in NY. I had never heard of the authorized US seller before, but the lens was delivered in three days. The transaction took a little over a week since my initial offer was $50 below acceptance. Greentoe staff emailed several times but I did not budge. My offer expired after 7 days, so I increased a second offer and the deal was made after two days with help of Greentoe. I think their staff makes a real human effort and earns every penny of whatever they make on the deal.

Got me a 1Dx for $4050, $150 less the CPW's offer and $550 less than Amazon price at the time (10-2-15). I got an offer the same day and not too long after posting a bid. Hit them with a counter offer and, well... The transaction went smoothly. I will definitely come back to Greentoe for other products. I saw the unit at $3900, but it was gray market and I was not interested in that. This unit is brand spank'n new and came with a USA warranty card.

I know it's been some time now, but what was the price? If you don't mind my asking?

I picked up my new 16-35mm f/4L IS via Greentoe @ $959.00 - $10.00.

Process was a little weird, but can;t argue with the results.

Still trying to sell my 17-40mm now...

Nice. That's what I was after. Care to share where it came from in the end?

Forgive me if I'm wrong or if they've since changed, but didn't Greentoe ask us NOT to share which vendor full-filled the orders?

Yeah, they ask us not to share which Vendor's. You can only share the price.

I thought you care share either price or vendor, just not both?

If you go back to post #1104, this is what they quote to the customer in their email

"PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THE NAME OF THE RETAILER THAT ACCEPTED YOUR OFFER. "

No worries. I was unaware of such policies. It doesn't really matter either way.

Just picked up the Canon 11-24 F4 at $2660.
This is my second purchase from GreenToe. (The other was a 135 f2.)

Great combo there. Gonna see if I can get the 11-24mm for the same price.

Why would anyone want to share the name of the vendor knowing how things are being played out? This can only be a detriment to us all, so just keep it to yourself. There's no need to debate this.
