Feb 01, 2016 16:43 | #1354 I've never really had much success on there, I've managed to get better deals from Adorama or Amazon in many cases...maybe just me &/or what I was looking for at the time... _______________

They reversed those charges, you can bet you will here from the company then. I'd email them just to have a record that I tried to give them a chance, then the next contact would be my CC company. I wouldn't even waste my time. Gear

Feb 01, 2016 20:53 | #1359 I didn't realize GT reads these threads lol, but they do! They saw my message and emailed me a very reasonable resolution to my problem. Seems like them not getting/answering my messages was a hiccup which I can understand. With that in mind, I'll give GT another try however I wish there was a way to know if that particular retailer was the one accepting the "bid" so I can avoid them. gareymartin.com

Feb 15, 2016 22:32 | #1360 I had a pretty good experience with Greentoe. Last year, I got a 24-70 II for $1645 after rebates. If you consider, no taxes and free shipping, it was a pretty good deal! 5D Mark III, 24-70mm f2.8/L ii

With that in mind, I too asked if they could tell me the retailer who accepted my bid. They wouldn't, and the invoice came from the one dealer I was hoping not to get. That vendor's site has a strange return policy, "no returns on cameras or lenses more than $700". What?! Jay

Mar 06, 2016 22:31 | #1364 Second time using GreenToe for a major purchase (new 7DmkII - for a relative's gift). Smooth transaction, good communication, and everyone who is chipping in was very happy with the price savings on what is currently found on the larger sites. Will buy from them again! 1D X II ~ w/RRS base plate ~ 300 f/2.8L IS w/RRS lens plate ~ 200 f/1.8L w/RRS foot plate ~ 200 f/2.0L IS w/RRS foot plate ~ 24-70 f/2.8L II ~ 70-200 f/2.8L IS II ~ 580EX II ~ Gitzo GM5561T ~ RRS MH-02 Pro
