Waiting on a Sigma 20mm ART to ship. I've been bummed that I missed the $799 sale that B&H, Adorama and Amazon had on the ART lenses a few weeks ago. Then was reminded of Greentoe via this thread last night. Put in an order after midnight, was notified that my offer had been accepted by 10am today. Little snag on my end because my CC company didn't accept the order right away because of fraud protection. Issue was instantly communicated to me via Greentoe, and everything was resolved and I got my shipping notification from the retailer in an hour. Very pleased so far, and assuming the rest of the transaction goes smoothly, I will 100% use the service again.

Waiting on the Canon 70-200L II to arrive this week. I picked it up for $1759.... pretty decent deal as they are going for $1949 on B&H.

I have a Sigma 50mm F/1.4 waiting on my decision to purchase... it's cheaper than the $799 sale B&H had a couple of weeks ago. I love B&H ..use them for everything... that being said...GT is saving me some $$$ :)

Good deal, thanks for posting the price. Can't make up my mind if I want the 70-200 or a 7D II.

Regards,
Steve

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Just want to post an update. Got my Sigma 20mm Art from the retailer and am 100% satisfied with the Greentoe process. Quick, easy, and saved almost $150 off the retail price. Definitely a fan. I imagine margins aren't as great on CaNikon stuff, but from now on I'll try Greentoe before anywhere else. Thanks to all who have recommended it thus far.

Hello potn, it's been a while :). Anyway, just wanted to share my latest experience on greentoe. I have not used the website in about 2 yrs., mostly because I had to behave myself and not buy any new gear. Long story short, I put in an offer on a Sigma 50 Art last night, and had a counter-offer by 9am this morning (I figured it was coming, my bid was kind of low). I still get a student discount with B&H until the end of May (10% off Sigma), so I wanted to see if putting an offer in through greentoe could beat that price, and it did! Pretty happy with that :).

Got my 18-35 for $719. Much better deal than buying used for $650.

Thinking of trying this service out for a 70-200 II. Do the sellers usually charge tax and shipping on top of the accepted price? I'm just trying to get an idea of the actual price I am paying.

I think the offer you make is all-inclusive. I just bought a lens through Greentoe for the first time and the offer I made covered everything. But you can email them and ask directly to be sure; they respond very quickly. I loved the whole process and will do it again.

It is all-inclusive unless you select the faster shipping option.

yes... correct... I just purchased the 70-200II for $1759 out the door so to speak. The price they quote is the price you pay. The lens is great btw... best of luck.

I'm in PA
I've used them countless times.
NO tax, as the suppliers are usually in NY.
I typically place a bid before 12pm est.
I have the product the following day by 1130am via UPS ground.

Insane service.
