5dc, 17-40 refurb, 24-105 refurb, 50 1.8, and 70-300 (non-L). Have CPLs for all.

My only temptation for the near future, anyway, would be to upgrade to the 70-300L.
I shoot landscape and travel, some wildlife.

(Also have Rebel XS, and 18-55 IS, but they don't count)

Any thoughts or comments?

If the lenses serve your photographic purposes, then there's no reason to get another one. Lots of people rave about telephoto lenses, but I would not buy one. I had a 100-400mm and sold it because I rarely used it.

You've got a full range so I don't see any reason to change unless you feel one is holding you back.

Trade in that 50/1.8 for a good 50. Nothing wider than 17, longer than 300? No T/S? No macro? If you could see my wry smile you'd know I am only kidding. Gene

Gene: Yes, the temptation for more is always there, but I really don't shoot enough to justify much more.

Thanks, Gold!

Seems like you're covered from 17-300! and a fast prime too.

I don't even use my zooms anymore, just have a trinity 28mm 2.8, 50mm 1.7 and 135mm 2.8 that should be here tomorrow or friday! :D

I think I am done, but now I'm wondering if I will end up in the 'more money than sense' or GAS syndrome. Fortunately the long lenses I'd be interested in as so much more ($6k+) that I don't think they will ever be an option.

If you don't shoot any portraits the 85's and 135L are probably not on your list and for landscapes I personally think that in the Canon lineup the next step is a large one to one of the TS-E's.

70-300L is supposed to be nice and may be good for landscapes in the telephoto range.

For 'travel' I hear that a fast prime (something like a 35 1.4) is popular, but my travel photography is effectively landscapes. I like the idea of a wide prime, but I bet I wouldn't use it enough.

Sell 70-300, Rebel XS, and 18-55 IS and get a 300 f/4L :)

ejenner: I'm with you on the wide prime, 24 or 35, but I, too, don't think I'd use it that much.
The zooms are just SO versatile, and I'm a lazy shooter, unfortunately.

x_tan: Good idea, but I need IS and love the versatility of the zooms.

I have the same kit, but with a small handful of primes thrown in there: 28mm 1.8, 50mm macro, 85mm 1.8 and 100mm macro.
I don't think I could shoot my style without at least one macro and the 85mm, but otherwise it's a very good and affordable-ish kit.

Good choices. If you find yourself craving a special lens for a trip or day of shooting (like a supertele, tilt shift, macro etc), you can always rent one.

Some of my lenses focus beyond infinity...!
